How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First, have your group choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Landmark Resort Courtyard View - Unit 1408 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
