Rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by having your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean-Sea Watch Resort Myrtle Beach -Romantic Studio-early May, book 4, 1 free has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
