Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 309 Direct Oceanfront 1 bedroom\/ 1 bath condo has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
