How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Spacious condo one block from beach with pools, hot tub, porch, BBQ area, AC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
