Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Vibrant 4 BR Home Close to Beach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
