How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your group agree to dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 8th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w/ AC, WiFi, Pool/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
