Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning and picking the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beach House in Myrtle Beach has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
