Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning and picking the perfectvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Horizons at 77th - 1 Bedroom has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your contract.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
