How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First and foremost, have your group agree to the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. TRUE OCEANFRONT IN OCEAN LAKES! Perfect location! Great weeks left! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
