Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Choosing and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Lodge Villa 2 Bedroom at a 57-Acre Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
