How to book the best rental home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- To start, have your group decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Lodge Villa 2 Bedroom at a 57-Acre Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
