Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Magnolia North Unit 104 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
