Tips to get the best rental experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your family select dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Myrtle Beach Resort T1402
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
