Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Ocean Bliss - Oceanfront 1bd\/1ba Condo -11205 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
