Booking the best rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanview 3BR Condo -Spacious Condo with Amazing Views! - Sand Dunes 1404 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
