How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- To find the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Second Row 2 bedroom Suite/Walk to the beach! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
