Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation home:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Sheraton 2-Bedroom Condo by the famed Broadway at the Beach! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
