Summary:
A Breezy Atlantic Coast Escape

It’s no surprise that families appreciate visiting Myrtle Beach. Sun, white sand and boardwalk games are hard not to appreciate. Deciding where to stay? That can be a bit trickier. Staying right on the beach gives you amazing vistas but oftentimes a smaller (and sometimes noisier) room. Staying further inland requires some driving back and forth, but gives you more room to spread out as a family.

The good news? There’s no need to choose… our South Beach Resort is right in the sweet spot, just one street across from the Atlantic Ocean. A fast two-min. walk will have you dipping your toes in the ocean or cooling off in the pool at our private beachfront clubhouse. Back at the resort, you can float down our calming lazy rivers, whoosh down giant waterslides, lounge by the lush Lagoon Pool, or sip a poolside drink. Then watch a gorgeous South Carolina beach sunset right from your villa balcony. See? It’s the best of both worlds.

How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose the best vacation home:

  • To start, have your family choose a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Enjoy Family & Friends in a 2BD resort condo lots of amenities onsite including has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
