Join us on Saturday July 4, 2026 for our 3rd Annual River Island Family Fest!

This action-packed day is filled with fun for the whole family. Slide into excitement with our water slide & bounce house, engage in friendly competition with tug-of-war, rubber duck race, corn hole tournament and more!

As the sun sets enjoy our S'mores Bar followed by our Owl Call. Cap off the night with a dazzling fireworks display that lights up the night sky.

Escape the crowds at the beach and enjoy this EXCLUSIVE event that is limited to ONLY 200 guests. Don’t miss this unforgettable family experience at River Island Adventures.

Adults & Youth: $10
Children ages 5 & under are free

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

• 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Water Slide & Bounce House
  Kids and adults can bounce, slip and slide all day to cool off from the hot sun!
  Cost: Included in price of admission
  

• 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Paddle, Float or Ride to the Island
  Choose your mode of transportation to the island: inner tube, kayak or pontoon boat. Hop on and float, paddle or ride the half mile trip down to our private 48 acre island where you can can get off and explore the island, tour tour the Treehouse, grab a drink from our Island Tiki Bar or relax in a hammock before paddling or riding the pontoon boat back to our Outpost.
  Cost: $15 per person per trip
  

• 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm: River Island Snack Shack
  We will be serving up snack and drinks all day!

• 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Sweet T's Food Truck
  Sweet T's Food Truck will be on-site serving Jamaican, Mexican and American dishes!
  
  

• 3:00 pm: Watermelon Eating Contest
  Signup early to compete in this fun and messy contest. The first person to eat their share of watermelon (no hands) wins!
  Cost: Included in the price of admission
  Prize: River Island T-shirt
  

• 1:00 pm: SURVIVOR Games
  Grab a partner and compete in exciting and fun challenges to see if you have what it takes to win SURVIVOR! Two hours of competition that is great for families, friends or work groups. Limited spots available so book on our website now to grab your spot!
  Cost: $54/person (must book online in advance)
  

• 4:00 - whenever: Cornhole Tournament
  Grab your partner and let the bags fly for this double elimination tournament.
  Cost: Included in the price of admission
  Prize: River Island T-shirts, Stickers & more
  

• 5:00 pm: Red Solo Cup Games
  Grab a seat at one of our picnic tables and compete in these fun games using red solo cups.
  Cost: Included in the price of admission
  Prize: River Island T-shirts, Stickers & more
  

• 6:00 pm: Tug of War Tournament
  Families/Groups of 6 - 8 compete in an old school Tug of War competition for prizes. Divisions: Men, Women, Mixed, Kids
  Cost: Included in the price of admission

• 7:00 pm: Rubber Duck Race
  Pick your lucky duck(s) and cheer them on as they race (float) down the Waccamaw River to the finish line.
  Cost: $2 per duck

  1st Place: $50 River Island Gift Certificate
  2nd Place: River Island T-shirt
  3rd Place: River Island Sticker
  

7:30 pm: S'mores Bar & Owl Call
Grab a s'mores kit and roast your marshmallow to a golden brown for that perfect backyard desert after a fun day at the river. We will do our Owl Call and watch as 2 - 3 Barred Owls come flying in to see say hello!

• 8:00 pm: Fireworks
  Grab a seat in front of the stage area for a fireworks show lighting up the night sky high above the tranquil waters of the Waccamaw River.
