Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Direct Oceanfront w\/ Heated Pools,Honeymoon Suite! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
