Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. A Beach Run 3bdr, 2ba in Ocean Lakes has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Know before you go:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
