Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Enticing Oceanfront Three Bedroom Condo 10th Flr has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
