Strategies to get the perfect rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking yourvacation home:
- Start by having your family agree to date ranges and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. ~~~ Fabulous Beach Bungalow with Golf Cart ~ Visit the Sea Breeze! ~~~ has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
