How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourvacation home:

  • Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beachy Oceanfront 10th Flr 3BR Condo Seaside Haven has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
