Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing yourrental home:

  • To start, have your family agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Maritime Bliss Oceanfront Suite 12th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
