Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 15th Floor: Oceanfront Deluxe 1 Bdrm King Ste has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
