How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 2BR -Club Wyndham SeaWatch-Pools, Lazy River, Beach, Tiki Bar+ More! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
