Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- To start, have your family select vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 3br Deluxe Condo Family Fun on Myrtle Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.

- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
