Booking the best rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Premiere Condo!! Gorgeous!! You Have Truly Found Paradise! + Beach Locker! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
