Tips to get the very best rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To book the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. 3rd-floor oceanfront condo with balcony, beach views, hot tubs, pools & gym has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
