Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and choosing the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 7th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w/ AC, Shared Pool/Hot Tub, WiFi has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
