How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beach Condo with Indoor & Outdoor pools\/lazy river\/hot tub\/fitness center has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
