Finding the best rental experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Choose dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Beachfront Condo with city views- Close to attractions has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
