Strategies to get the best rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Book your vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. UPDATED WITH CART DOGS <20 LBS CONSIDERED SITE 5518 SANDLAPPER LN. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
