How to get the best rental experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your Search:
- Start by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. UPDATED WITH CART DOGS <20 LBS CONSIDERED SITE 5518 SANDLAPPER LN. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
