Vacation rental home tips:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation rental:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Beautifu Golf course efficiency at River Oaks+pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
