Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
Finding the best value:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful!!!! 2 king bed-2 bath-End of August Special! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
