Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Finding the best value:

  • To find the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful 9th floor studio @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.

More considerations:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
