Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Choosing the best vacation home:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Beautiful Ocean Lakes Beach Home......100 Yards to the Beach. has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Know before you go:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
