Rental home tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book your prefectvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful Ocean view corner unit has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
