Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose vacation week and budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Bluewater Resort 1103 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Know before you go:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
