How to get the best vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Booking in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Bluewater Resort 207 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
