How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to select the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your family agree to trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. \"Come Sea's The Day\" in 2025\nGreat for families!\nBeautiful 2 bdrm, 2 bath unit!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
