Our top Vacation rental booking tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Cozy Ocean Lakes home w/Golf cart & Massive Porch! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More tips for your stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
