Vacation rental tips:
Sticking to a budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- To find the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First and foremost, have your group agree to date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Double Queen Suite- Ocean Views! Paradise 1611 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
