Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect rental:

  • Start by having your family decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Family Tree- when you need that special space for the whole Family ! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
