Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to go & When to book:
- To find the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Fully Renovated King Suite! Perfect For 2 Guests! Private Balcony has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
