Strategies to get the very best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your family decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Magnificent Caravelle Resort Ocean View Suite - Double Bed has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is right for your trip.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
