How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Gorgeous Ocean View King Suite w/ Balcony + On-Site Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
