Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Great Ocean Views!! - 10th Floor Landmark Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a great stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
