Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Great Ocean Views!! - 10th Floor Landmark Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
