Summary:
A Breezy Atlantic Coast Escape

It’s no surprise that families appreciate visiting Myrtle Beach. Sun, white sand and boardwalk games are hard not to adore. Deciding where to stay? That can be a bit trickier. Staying right on the beach gives you extraordinary vistas but oftentimes a smaller (and sometimes noisier) room. Staying further inland requires some driving back and forth, but gives you more room to spread out as a family.
The good news? There’s no need to choose… our South Beach Resort is right in the sweet spot, just one street across from the Atlantic Ocean. A fast two-min. walk will have you dipping your toes in the ocean or cooling off in the pool at our private beachfront clubhouse. Back at the resort, you can float down our calming lazy rivers, whoosh down giant waterslides, lounge by the lush Lagoon Pool, or sip a poolside drink. Then watch a impressive South Carolina beach sunset right from your villa balcony. See? It’s the best of both worlds.

The Space:
This unit is not necessarily the one in the picture; it will be assigned at the time of check-in.

Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book yourvacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose date ranges and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Great Studio Apt minutes away from ocean with lots of onsite resort amenities has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
