Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing a perfectrental home:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Holiday Towers, beautiful ocean view has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
